The Marlins lost Saturday’s game 4-3 to the Milwaukee Brewers dropping their season record to 14-10.    The Marlins have split the six games so far on the road trip with one game remaining on Sunday in Milwaukee.   Mark Hendrickson made the start for the Marlins coming off 4 straight winning decisions, and pitched well again but not well enough to grab the victory.

Olsen Shines In Win

Scott Olsen continued his terrific season on Friday by tossing 7.1 shutout innings on way to a 3-0 Marlins win in 10 innings.   Olsen lowered his team leading E.R.A to 2.06 in this game where he allowed 4 hits, 5 walks and struck out none.    The win was the Marlins’ 14th of the season giving them a 14-9 record for the season as they continue to pace the National League East.

Fish Unable To Sweep

Another two game series came to an end on Thursday and once again the Marlins were unable to complete the sweep. This time it was the Atlanta Braves who kept the Marlins’ brooms off the field with a 6-4 win. This follows up on the missed sweep chance in Pittsburgh a few days ago. Still, the Marlins came away with a split in Atlanta and that is never a bad thing. The loss brought the Marlins record to 13-9 on the season.
