Burke Badenhop picked up his first career big league win on Wednesday as the Marlins beat the Milwaukee Brewers 6-2. The win was the Marlins 3rd in a row and brought their win total for the season to 19 and brought them five games over .500 for the first time since April 27th. This was also the Marlins 4th win over the Brewers in 5 tries. With the win, the Marlins maintain their first place position in the National League East for at least one more day.
Olsen Dominant In Win

Scott Olsen put on a show Tuesday night as the Marlins opened the series against the Milwaukee Brewers with a 3-0 shutout win. After a sub par outing last time out, Olsen showed poise on the mound all night long on his way to nearly securing the first complete game for the Marlins since September 2006. It was not to be however as Olsen loaded the bases in the 9th and was removed after throwing 121 pitches. Kevin Gregg entered and finished off the Brewers on one pitch for his 6th save of the season.
Lineup Change Snaps Losing Streak

After being swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday, the Marlins rebounded with a 6-4 win over the San Diego Padres on Friday. The fish who have slipped out of first place in the National League East turned to Mark Hendrickson (5-1) to be the stopper en route to their 16th win of the young season.
Marlins Can’t Dodge Sweep

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a sweep of the Marlins on Thursday with a 5-3 win. Much like Game 1 of the series, the score was tied going to the 9th with Kevin Gregg on the mound. Once again Gregg and the fish came away with the loss in a hard fought game.
Burke Badenhop made the start for the Marlins and turned in his best start as a big leaguer thus far lasting 6 innings surrendering 3 earned runs while striking out six including a span of 4 strikeouts in a row early on. Taylor Tankersley rebounded from a tough outing on Wednesday with a scoreless inning. Renyel Pinto added a scoreless inning of his own before Gregg allowed two runs in a tough final frame.
