The Marlins’ struggles in Colorado continued on Saturday as the Rockies came away 12-6 winners. Rookie Ryan Tucker made the start and allowed 8 earned runs in only four innings of work in possibly his last start in the majors. The Marlins and Colorado Rockies combined for a total of 35 runs and 43 hits in Friday’s game. The fish saw a 13-4 lead in the 4th inning evaporate as starter Scott Olsen struggled along with the bullpen. Every reliever had time on the mound for the fish in a game that dropped the team to 3.5 games behind the first place Phillies.

Willingham went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBI including the game-winner in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the host Florida Marlins a 6-5 win over Washington and move the Marlins to within half a game of the first-place idle Phillies.
